About

An executive biography.

Ahmad Athamneh's professional evolution — entrepreneur, investor and technology founder — from software and digital transformation to ventures and investment.

01A technical foundation

Ahmad Athamneh's professional life began in software. A Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from the American College of Dubai, completed in 2008, gave him a working command of systems — data, architecture, interfaces and the ways they fail — and an early habit of asking how something actually works before deciding what it should become.

His early career was spent in software development and technical consulting, on projects where requirements were rarely tidy and where the distance between a specification and a working product had to be closed through practical judgement. That grounding in delivery still shapes how he evaluates products and the teams that build them.

02From systems to strategy

Technical fluency becomes more valuable when it is combined with an understanding of markets, capital and organisations. Ahmad pursued that second discipline formally, completing a Master of Business Administration at the University of Oxford, where he was a member of Keble College, in 2014.

The result is a working profile that spans both sides of a venture: he can review a platform architecture and a business model with equal attention, and translate between the engineers who build products and the partners, investors and institutions who decide whether those products succeed.

03Leading digital transformation

From 2015 to 2019, Ahmad served as Head of Digital Transformation at Tamer Group. He led digital transformation initiatives focusing on technology modernization, digital business processes, and the adoption of digital solutions to support organizational development and operational efficiency.

It was a leadership role rather than a purely technical one: transformation of this kind joins decisions about technology to the changes in process and ways of working that an organisation needs in order to adopt it.

04Digital marketing at regional scale

From 2019 to 2021, Ahmad was Digital Marketing Manager for the Middle East and North Africa at TikTok, during the period in which short-form video became a mainstream medium across the Arab world. The role centred on digital marketing and audience development within a fast-changing content ecosystem.

The experience gave him a close view of how platforms grow — through creators, communities and culture as much as through product features — and reinforced his view that audiences in the region are best served by products designed around their languages and habits.

05Technology consulting

Between 2020 and 2022, Ahmad worked as a Technical Consultant contributing to teams involved in the development of Tawakkalna and Sehhaty, two digital service platforms widely used in Saudi Arabia. Work of this kind is defined by its setting: very large user populations, strict expectations of reliability and security, and many specialised teams working within a broader programme structure.

06Founding and building companies

In 2019 Ahmad founded YouLive, a social technology platform built around live streaming, digital entertainment and the relationship between content creators and their audiences. As Founder and CEO, he leads the company's product direction, its creator monetisation model and its approach to community. YouLive was founded in the same year his role at TikTok began; several of the roles described on this site overlapped in time.

His business interests also extend beyond software. He is the owner of the Amman International Motor Show, an exhibition and events venue on Airport Road in Amman that hosts automotive events, trade shows and commercial gatherings.

07Active AI ventures

Ahmad is the founder of SALEEM AI and NEBRAS AI, two active artificial intelligence ventures operating across multiple markets in the Middle East and North Africa. SALEEM AI focuses on healthcare technology and intelligent digital health solutions, reflecting his commitment to applying AI to real-world healthcare challenges. NEBRAS AI applies artificial intelligence to education technology and represents his ongoing involvement in building and operating technology-driven solutions across the region.

A further venture, TradeZ, is a planned digital asset exchange with an emphasis on security-oriented design and accessible trading infrastructure. It is presented on this site as what it is today: a venture in development, not a launched, licensed or operating service.

08Private investment and digital asset markets

Alongside his entrepreneurial and technology ventures, Ahmad Athamneh is an active private investor, with millions of US dollars invested across businesses, financial markets, and digital assets. In cryptocurrency markets, trading at significant volume is a discipline of its own: liquidity has to be understood before it is used, execution matters as much as conviction, and risk management is not optional.

His trading concentrates on Bitcoin and XRP, at large volume and with his own capital, with an emphasis on liquidity, execution and risk management.

That first-hand experience of how digital asset markets behave, in calm conditions and under stress, informs his view of the infrastructure these markets still need and of the standards of security and transparency their participants should be able to expect.

09Social impact

In 2024 Ahmad founded the Mia Autism Association, a registered association in Jordan dedicated to supporting children on the autism spectrum and their families. The association reflects a commitment to inclusion, dignity and equal opportunity that sits alongside his commercial work.

Taken together, his career runs from the mechanics of technology, through digital transformation leadership, marketing and large-scale consulting, to founding companies and supporting a social cause — experience he now applies to building businesses and institutions in Jordan and across the region.

Professional philosophy

Principles that travel across ventures.

01

Precision over performance

Say exactly what exists, what is planned and what is still uncertain. In technology and in investment, credibility compounds — and so does its absence.

02

Build for the people actually there

Products for this region should begin with its languages, habits, infrastructure and institutions, rather than with an imported template adjusted at the edges.

03

Systems before slogans

A venture is a system of incentives, operations and technology. Getting the mechanics right is what allows a vision to survive contact with reality.

04

Value that outlasts a cycle

Markets move in cycles; institutions, trust and capability accumulate across them. The aim is to build things that are still useful when the current enthusiasm has passed.

Leadership perspective

Leadership as translation.

Leadership, in Ahmad's working model, is largely an act of translation. Engineers, marketers, regulators, investors and communities each describe the same venture in a different language; the founder's task is to hold those descriptions together long enough for a coherent organisation to form around them.

That requires a technical literacy deep enough to challenge an architecture, a commercial discipline firm enough to say no to attractive distractions, and enough patience to let institutions — whether a company, a venue or an association — mature at the pace that durable things require.

Areas of expertise

Nine areas of practice.

01

Entrepreneurship & Business Leadership

Founding and leading organisations at different stages and in different sectors — a digital platform, two active AI ventures, an exhibition venue and a registered association. The work covers identifying problems worth solving, shaping the product and the business model together, setting direction, allocating capital and attention, and building teams with complementary strengths.

02

Applied Artificial Intelligence

Applying AI where it can widen access to essential services, particularly healthcare and education — the focus of his active ventures SALEEM AI and NEBRAS AI. The approach is practical: match models to clearly defined tasks, keep people accountable for consequential decisions, evaluate performance honestly, and design for privacy, fairness and the Arabic language from the start.

03

Digital Transformation & Technology Consulting

Leading and advising on the systems at the core of an organisation's operations — including four years as Head of Digital Transformation at Tamer Group — from national-scale digital services to enterprise environments. The emphasis is on process redesign, data governance, reliability and change management — not simply the purchase of new software.

04

Digital Platform Architecture

Designing systems that connect many participants — creators and audiences, buyers and sellers, patients and clinicians, students and teachers. Platform architecture covers technical scalability and security, and also the rules, incentives and trust mechanisms that determine whether a network grows in a healthy way.

05

Live Streaming & the Creator Economy

Building and running live, participatory media products: real-time infrastructure, creator monetisation, community design and moderation, together with the regional cultural understanding that determines whether audiences feel at home on a platform.

06

Digital Marketing & E-Commerce

Audience development and brand building in fast-moving digital media across the Middle East and North Africa, together with the full chain of digital commerce — discovery, conversion, payments, fulfilment and retention — and the regional realities that shape each step.

07

Digital Assets & Blockchain

Active investment and trading in cryptocurrency markets, combined with close attention to the infrastructure behind them — exchanges, custody, settlement and peer-to-peer trading. The perspective is infrastructure-first and regulation-aware, with security, transparency and user protection as priorities.

08

Business Development & Investment

Building the partnerships and market access that allow ventures to grow, and allocating capital across a portfolio that combines digital platforms, active AI ventures, a physical venue and a venture in development. The guiding question is long-term value: whether an investment builds capability and trust that outlast a single market cycle.

09

Social Impact Leadership

Building institutions that serve communities, beginning with the Mia Autism Association. The same standards apply as in business — a clear mission, good governance and respectful partnership with families and professionals — in work where dignity and inclusion are the measures of success.
